Shipping Policy
How your order gets to your door.
Domestic Med Supply ships every order from our Massachusetts warehouse via the United States Postal Service. This policy explains how shipping is calculated, when your order leaves the building, what happens once it’s in the mail, and where responsibility shifts from us to USPS.

1. Where we ship
Domestic Med Supply ships to all 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. Some products are subject to state-specific restrictions (see our State Restrictions page). We do not currently ship to U.S. territories outside the lower 50 states (Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands), and we do not ship internationally.
Four states (Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York) require a valid prescription for any quantity of hypodermic syringes or needles, and four more (Connecticut, Maine, Minnesota, and New Hampshire) require a prescription on orders of more than ten units. Our checkout enforces these rules automatically based on your shipping address. If your state requires a prescription, you’ll be prompted to upload one at checkout.
2. Carriers & service levels
We use USPS Priority Mail as our default service for all domestic orders. Priority Mail typically delivers within 1–3 business days, includes $100 of carrier insurance at no additional charge, and provides full tracking from drop-off to delivery.
For oversized or unusually heavy orders (rare, but possible on bulk wholesale orders), we may upgrade to USPS Priority Mail Cubic or USPS Ground Advantage at our discretion, with no change to the shipping fee you were quoted.
3. Shipping rates
We do not offer free shipping. Instead, we use a live, weight-based rate engine that calls USPS at the moment of checkout, picks the smallest USPS Priority Mail box that fits your order, and quotes you the actual carrier rate to your destination ZIP code plus a flat $2.00 handling fee to cover packing materials and labor.
The handling fee is the only markup on shipping. We do not pad shipping to subsidize “free shipping” promotions — what you see is what we pay USPS, plus the $2 fee. You can preview your exact rate before you place an order using our live shipping calculato
4. Order minimum
We enforce a $9.99 minimum on the products in your cart (excluding shipping). A single 100-pack of needles, a single 30 ml vial of bacteriostatic water, or any combination of items totaling $9.99 or more clears this threshold automatically.
The minimum exists because pick-and-pack labor and USPS minimums make it economically impossible to ship sub-$10 carts at the prices we offer. Our checkout will not allow an order below the threshold to proceed.
5. Processing & same-day cutoff
Orders placed before 12:00 PM Eastern Time (noon) on a U.S. business day are dropped off with USPS the same business day. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on USPS-observed federal holidays ship on the next business day.
You’ll receive an order confirmation email immediately after checkout, followed by a shipping confirmation email containing your USPS tracking number the moment we print your label.
USPS-observed federal holidays on which we do not ship include New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
6. Tracking & delivery
Every order ships with USPS Priority Mail tracking. Once your label is created, you can check status directly at tools.usps.com using the tracking number we email you.
Estimated delivery times are 1–3 business days from drop-off in the continental U.S., 3–5 business days to Hawaii and Alaska, and 5–10 business days to APO/FPO/DPO addresses. These are USPS estimates; weather, peak-season volume, and local USPS performance can affect actual delivery dates.
7. Tracking shows "Delivered" but the package isn’t there
Important
Once your tracking number shows ‘Accepted’ by USPS, the package is officially in USPS possession and the shipping process is now handled by USPS. From that point onward, Domestic Med Supply is no longer responsible for delivery status, delays, or issues. All delivery-related updates must be checked directly with USPS.
If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you cannot find the package, please take the following steps in order:
- Check around your front door, side door, garage, mailbox, parcel locker, and with anyone else at the address who may have brought it inside.
- Check with your immediate neighbors — USPS occasionally delivers to the wrong house and the recipient leaves it on the original porch.
- Wait 24 hours. Some “Delivered” scans are made early in the route; the package frequently arrives later that same day or the following day.
- If after 24 hours the package still has not arrived, contact USPS Customer Service at 1-800-275-8777 (1-800-ASK-USPS) to file a Missing Mail search request, or file the request online at usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm. Have your tracking number ready.
We will gladly help you locate your tracking number, confirm the address we shipped to, and provide any documentation USPS requests as part of their investigation. However, the missing-package claim and any insurance recovery must be filed with USPS directly — they are the carrier of record once we hand off the parcel.
8. Lost or damaged in transit
If your package is in transit but tracking has not updated for seven (7) consecutive business days, contact us at info@domesticmedsupply.com. We will open a USPS service inquiry on your behalf and, if the package is officially declared lost by USPS, we will replace your order at no charge.
If your package arrives visibly damaged (crushed, torn, wet, or with broken contents), photograph the box and the contents before disposing of any of the packaging materials and email the photos to info@domesticmedsupply.com within 7 days of delivery. Provided the damage was caused in transit, we will ship a free replacement of the affected items immediately and file a USPS damage claim on the back end.
Photographic evidence is required for damaged-in-transit claims because USPS requires it for our recovery; we cannot process a damage claim without it.
9. Wrong address & undeliverable packages
You are responsible for entering the correct shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable because the address was incorrect, incomplete, or no longer valid, we will contact you to either (a) reship the order to a corrected address at the original shipping rate or (b) refund the product cost less the original shipping fee and a $5 restocking fee.
If you notice an address mistake immediately after placing an order, email us at info@domesticmedsupply.com as quickly as possible. If your label has not yet been printed, we can correct the address at no charge. Once a label is printed, we cannot modify it and the package will need to be returned to us before reshipping.
10. International orders
Domestic Med Supply does not currently ship internationally. Orders placed with international shipping addresses will be canceled and refunded in full.
11. Contact
For shipping-related questions, email info@domesticmedsupply.com. We respond within one business day. For tracking-related issues with a package USPS has already accepted, contact USPS directly at 1-800-275-8777 for the fastest resolution.
Return Policy
What happens when something isn’t right.
Sterile medical supplies are non-returnable for safety and regulatory reasons. This policy explains what we do guarantee — replacements and refunds for damaged, wrong, or undelivered orders — and exactly how to claim them.

Questions about this policy? Email info@domesticmedsupply.com and we’ll respond within one business day.
1. Overview
Domestic Med Supply sells sterile, single-use medical products. Once a sterile product leaves our facility and enters a customer’s hands, it cannot be resold or restocked, and accepting it back would create a sterility, safety, and regulatory liability. For that reason, we do not accept returns on opened or unopened sterile supplies.
What we do guarantee is that every order arrives complete, undamaged, and correctly fulfilled. If anything is wrong with what we sent you, we make it right — see the sections below.
2. No returns on sterile supplies
This is the standard policy across the medical-supply industry and is required by U.S. FDA guidance on the resale of sterile single-use devices. Once a product is in your possession, we cannot verify the chain of custody, storage temperature, or sterile barrier integrity required to resell it.
3. What we do replace or refund
We provide a free replacement or full refund (your choice) in the following situations:
- Damaged in transit — the box arrived crushed, torn, wet, or the product inside is broken or contaminated by transit damage.
- Wrong item shipped — we sent the wrong product, gauge, length, or pack size based on what your order confirmation specified.
- Missing items — your order is short one or more items that were listed on the packing slip.
- Defective product — a product is unusable due to a manufacturing defect (cracked vial, malformed needle, broken plunger, etc.) on initial inspection.
- Lost in transit — USPS officially declares your package lost and never delivers it.
Claims for these issues must be opened within seven (7) days of the delivery date recorded by USPS, and must include photographs of the issue. Claims opened after the 7-day window cannot be honored.
4. Damaged-in-transit items
If your package arrives visibly damaged or you discover transit damage when you open the box, do the following before disposing of any packaging:
- Photograph the outer box from at least two angles, including any visible damage.
- Photograph the damaged contents in their original packaging.
- Email the photos along with your order number to info@domesticmedsupply.com within 7 days of delivery.
Once we confirm the damage, we will ship a free replacement of the affected items at our cost and file a USPS damage claim on the back end. You do not need to return the damaged items — please dispose of sharps in a sharps container per local hazardous-waste guidelines.
5. Wrong item received
If we sent you something different from what your order confirmation lists, email info@domesticmedsupply.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a clear photograph of (a) the packing slip and (b) what arrived. We will ship the correct item immediately at no charge.
If the wrong item is unopened and you can return it without compromising the sterile barrier, we will email you a prepaid USPS return label. If the sterile barrier has already been broken, please dispose of the item per local guidelines — there is no need to return it.
6. Packages lost in transit
A package is considered “lost” when USPS tracking has not updated for seven (7) consecutive business days in transit. If your tracking is stalled, email info@domesticmedsupply.com with your order number; we will open a USPS service inquiry on your behalf.
If USPS officially declares the package lost (typically 14–21 days after the inquiry is opened), we will reship your order at no charge or refund you in full, your choice.
7. Packages USPS has scanned as "Delivered"
Important
If your tracking shows “Delivered” but the package isn’t where you expected, please follow the steps in our Shipping Policy: check the property thoroughly, ask neighbors, wait 24 hours for late-route deliveries, and then file a Missing Mail search with USPS Customer Service at 1-800-275-8777 or online at usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm.
We will gladly help with your tracking number and any documentation USPS needs, but the missing-package claim and any insurance recovery are filed with USPS — they are the carrier of record once we hand off the parcel.
8. How to file a claim
All claims for damaged, wrong, missing, or defective items should be sent to info@domesticmedsupply.com. Please include:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photographs of the issue (required for damaged or wrong-item claims)
- Your preferred resolution: replacement or refund
We acknowledge every claim within one business day and resolve most within 2–3 business days.
9. Refund timing & method
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit and debit card refunds typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. ACH refunds typically post within 3–7 business days. Cryptocurrency refunds are issued in the same currency originally paid, valued at the spot rate at the moment of refund.
10. Order cancellations
You may cancel an order at no charge any time before we print your shipping label. Once the label is printed (typically within minutes for orders placed before noon ET), the order is in motion and cannot be canceled. If you need to cancel an order, email info@domesticmedsupply.com as quickly as possible after placing it.
Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.
Domestic Med Supply (“DMS,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy and writes this policy in plain English instead of legal boilerplate. We collect only what we need to fulfill your order, ship it discreetly, comply with state laws, and process payment — and we never sell your data.

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Domestic Med Supply, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company, collects, uses, shares, and protects information about visitors to domesticmedsupply.com and customers who place orders with us. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect three categories of information:
Information you provide directly
- Order details: name, shipping address, billing address, email address, phone number (optional, used only for delivery exceptions), product selections, and special instructions.
- Payment information: card number, expiration, CVV, ACH routing/account, or cryptocurrency wallet address — submitted directly to our PCI-compliant payment processor (Soar Payments / Authorize.Net) and never stored on our servers.
- Age verification: a confirmation that you are 18 years of age or older, recorded at the moment you affirm it.
- Prescription uploads (only if your state requires one): a copy of a valid prescription, the prescriber’s identifying information, and the date of issue.
- Customer-service communications: emails, chat messages, and any photographs you send us as part of a damage or wrong-item claim.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data: IP address, user agent, referring URL, screen size, and timezone.
- Usage data: pages visited, products viewed, time on page, and click events, collected via first-party analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 7.
Information from third parties
- Address verification: USPS and a third-party address-verification service confirm your shipping address is deliverable.
- Fraud signals: our payment processor returns a risk score for each transaction.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To process, fulfill, and ship your order;
- To communicate with you about your order (confirmations, tracking, delivery exceptions);
- To comply with state-by-state syringe and bacteriostatic-water laws (including verifying that your shipping state allows the products you ordered);
- To verify that you are 18 years of age or older;
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse;
- To respond to customer-service inquiries and resolve disputes;
- To improve the website’s content, layout, and performance;
- To send marketing emails — only if you have opted in (see Section 6);
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting recordkeeping obligations.
4. How we share information
We share information only with the third parties strictly necessary to operate the business:
- Payment processors (Soar Payments / Authorize.Net for card and ACH; a major cryptocurrency processor for crypto payments) to authorize and settle your payment.
- Shipping carriers (USPS, and our shipping-software vendor) to print labels and deliver your order.
- Email service provider to send transactional emails (order confirmations, tracking) and, if you opted in, marketing emails.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate the servers our website runs on.
- Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) under confidentiality obligations.
- Government authorities when required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, etc.).
Each of these third parties is contractually bound to use your information only for the specific service they provide to us, and not for their own marketing or resale.
5. We do not sell your data
6. Marketing communications
We send marketing emails (early access to drops, occasional promotions) only to customers who have explicitly opted in by entering their email into our newsletter form. We do not enroll you in marketing emails simply because you placed an order.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the footer of any marketing email, or by emailing info@domesticmedsupply.com. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails about orders you place.
We do not send SMS marketing under any circumstances and do not enroll customers in SMS programs.
7. Cookies & analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function, such as remembering your cart contents, session, and age-verification status.
- First-party analytics — aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics that tell us how many people visit each page and how the site is performing. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party advertising trackers.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent the cart, age gate, and checkout from functioning correctly.
8. Age verification
You must be 18 years or older to use this website or place an order. The age gate that appears on your first visit records your affirmation along with a timestamp and IP address. By clicking “Yes, I’m 18+,” you certify that you are at least 18 and that you are using these products for a lawful purpose.
9. How we protect your data
The website is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Payment information is encrypted in transit and submitted directly to our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor; we never store, transmit, or have access to your full card number or CVV.
Order data, prescription uploads, and customer-service communications are stored in encrypted databases with role-based access controls. Only employees with a business need can access customer data, and access is logged.
Despite these safeguards, no system is perfectly secure. If we ever suffer a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate state attorneys general within the timeframes required by applicable state breach-notification laws.
10. Data retention
We retain order records for the period required by federal and state tax law (typically seven years). Prescription uploads are retained for the period required by the relevant state pharmacy board (typically two to five years, depending on the state). Marketing-list records are retained until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is retained in aggregated form indefinitely; raw, identifiable session data is purged after 90 days.
11. Your privacy rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your account and personal information (subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations for completed orders);
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time;
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@domesticmedsupply.com. We respond within 30 days.
12. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), including the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, the categories of third parties we share with, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in the CPRA. To exercise your California rights, email info@domesticmedsupply.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line.
13. Children’s privacy
This website and our products are not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please email us at info@domesticmedsupply.com.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via a banner on the website for at least 30 days before they take effect.

1. Acceptance of terms

If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Eligibility & age
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Site or place an order. By proceeding past the age verification gate or placing an order, you certify that you are 18 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We reserve the right to verify age and to refuse or cancel any order placed by an underage user.
3. Lawful purpose only
You agree to use products purchased from DMS only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to you. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws of your jurisdiction regarding the possession, sale, and use of hypodermic needles, syringes, and bacteriostatic water.
DMS does not condone, endorse, or facilitate the diversion of these products for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to the unlawful use, manufacture, or distribution of controlled substances.
4. Bacteriostatic water — research use only
Important
Bacteriostatic water is classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a prescription product when intended for use as a diluent for injectable medications. By purchasing bacteriostatic water from DMS, you represent that (a) you are purchasing it for legitimate research, laboratory, or veterinary-research use, and (b) any other use is at your sole risk and your sole legal responsibility.
5. No medical advice
The content on the Site, including product descriptions, FAQ entries, and the State Restrictions table, is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as a recommendation to inject any substance, choose a particular needle gauge or length for a particular medication, or pursue any treatment. Always consult a licensed medical professional for medical advice. See our Medical Disclaimer for full details.
6. Products, pricing, and orders
We make every effort to display accurate product information, pricing, and availability, but we do not warrant that product descriptions, photographs, or pricing on the Site are 100% error-free at all times. In the event of a pricing or description error, we reserve the right to (a) correct the error and require you to confirm the corrected order at the corrected price before shipping or (b) cancel the order and refund you in full. Orders are not binding on DMS until we accept and ship them.
Product photographs are representative. Lot-to-lot variations in label design, packaging, and box layout from our manufacturing partners may occur and do not constitute a defect.
7. Shipping & risk of loss
Title and risk of loss for all products purchased pass to you upon DMS’s delivery of the products to USPS at our origin facility. From that point forward, USPS is the carrier of record and is responsible for the safe delivery of the package. See our Shipping Policy for the full details of our shipping process and what to do if a package is lost, damaged, or marked “Delivered” without arriving.
8. Returns
Sterile medical supplies are non-returnable. We provide replacements or refunds only for damaged-in-transit, wrong-item, missing-item, defective, or carrier-lost orders. See our full Return Policy.
9. Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials you create on the Site and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@domesticmedsupply.com if you suspect any unauthorized use.
10. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including the Domestic Med Supply name, logo, product photography, copy, layouts, and source code — is the property of Domestic Med Supply, LLC, or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any DMS content without our prior written consent.
11. User content
If you submit reviews, comments, photographs, or other content to the Site or to our customer-service team, you grant DMS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the business. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that the content does not infringe any third party’s rights.
12. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
- Resell DMS products outside the scope of an authorized wholesale agreement;
- Attempt to defeat, disable, or circumvent the age-verification gate, state-eligibility checks, or any other security feature of the Site;

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DMS, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF DMS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
15. Indemnification

16. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site or products will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, including for repeat fraudulent orders, repeated chargebacks, or attempts to defeat the age gate or state-eligibility checks.
18. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the other policies linked above, constitute the entire agreement between you and DMS regarding your use of the Site.
19. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

State Restrictions
Where we ship freely, where we need a prescription, and why.
U.S. syringe and bacteriostatic-water laws vary by state. This page is the authoritative reference for which states Domestic Med Supply ships to without restriction, which require a valid prescription on file, and the statutes behind each rule.

Questions about this policy? Email info@domesticmedsupply.com and we’ll respond within one business day.
1. Overview
Domestic Med Supply complies with all applicable U.S. state laws governing the sale and distribution of hypodermic needles, syringes, and bacteriostatic water. Our checkout automatically enforces these rules based on your shipping address — you do not have to figure out the law yourself, and we will not let you accidentally place an order that we cannot legally fulfill.
For convenience, the rules fall into three buckets: (a) four states where a prescription is required for any quantity of syringes or needles; (b) four states where a prescription is required only on orders of more than ten units; and (c) the remaining 42 states plus Washington D.C., where customers 18 and older can purchase freely with a legitimate-use attestation.
2. States requiring a prescription for any quantity
The following states require a valid prescription from a licensed practitioner for any purchase of hypodermic needles or syringes, regardless of quantity:
| State | Statute | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Delaware (DE) | Del. Code tit. 16, §4762 | Rx required for any quantity |
| Illinois (IL) | 720 Ill. Comp. Stat. §635/1 | Photo ID + prescription required |
| New Jersey (NJ) | N.J. Rev. Stat. §2C:36-6.2 | Rx required for any quantity |
| New York (NY) | N.Y. Pub. Health Law §3381 | Rx required for any quantity |
If you are shipping to one of these states, our checkout will prompt you to upload a valid prescription before completing your order. See Section 7 for the upload process.
3. States requiring a prescription over 10 units
The following states allow up to ten syringes or needles per transaction without a prescription. Orders of more than ten units require a valid prescription:
| State | Statute | Threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Connecticut (CT) | Conn. Gen. Stat. §21a-65 | More than 10 units → Rx required |
| Maine (ME) | Me. Stat. tit. 32, §13781-A | More than 10 units → Rx required |
| Minnesota (MN) | Minn. Stat. §325F.785; §151.40 | More than 10 units → Rx required |
| New Hampshire (NH) | N.H. Rev. Stat. Ann. §318:52-c | More than 10 units → Rx required |
Because every needle product we sell ships in 100-count boxes, this threshold is effectively an across-the-board prescription requirement for any needle order to one of these four states.
4. "Open" states (18+, no prescription required)
The remaining 42 states and Washington D.C. allow over-the-counter purchase of hypodermic needles and syringes by adults 18 years and older, subject to a legitimate-use attestation. We ship to all of them.

- Hawaii (Haw. Rev. Stat. §325-21): legal possession; record-keeping required of pharmacy retailers but not interstate mail-order.
- Nevada (Nev. Rev. Stat. §454.480): legitimate-use attestation explicitly recognized in statute.
- Virginia (Va. Code Ann. §54.1-3647): syringes and needles are not classified as drug paraphernalia when intended for legitimate medical use.
5. Bacteriostatic water
Because bacteriostatic water is regulated at the federal level rather than state-by-state, the same rule applies in every state: it ships freely for stated research / laboratory use, and orders representing other use require a valid prescription. See our Medical Disclaimer and Terms of Service §4 for the full legal framework.
6. How our checkout enforces this
When you reach checkout, our system reads the state code from your shipping address and runs three checks in real time:
- Is the state in the Rx-required list? If yes, your cart is flagged and you are prompted to upload a prescription before proceeding.
- Is the state in the Rx-over-10 list and does the cart contain more than 10 syringes / needles? If yes, same prompt.
- If neither, you are prompted to confirm you are 18+ and that your purchase is for a lawful purpose; your order proceeds normally.
You can preview which rules apply to your address using the State Restrictions widget on our homepage.
7. Uploading a prescription
Prescriptions can be uploaded directly through our secure prescription upload page. Acceptable formats include PDF and JPG/PNG photographs. We accept:
- Prescriptions from any U.S.-licensed MD, DO, NP, PA, or DDS;
- Telehealth prescriptions issued by a provider authorized to prescribe in your state;
- Prescriptions valid within 12 months of issue date.
Uploaded prescriptions are encrypted at rest, accessible only to authorized fulfillment staff, and retained for the period required by your state’s pharmacy board (typically 2–5 years).
8. Changes & accuracy
State syringe laws change. We review every entry in this table at least quarterly and immediately upon learning of a statutory amendment. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent review. If you believe an entry is incorrect or out of date, email info@domesticmedsupply.com with the statute citation and we will investigate within five business days.
This page is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable to you.
Medical Disclaimer
What we are — and very importantly, what we are not.
Domestic Med Supply is a U.S. distributor of medical supplies. We are not a pharmacy, we are not a clinic, and we do not provide medical advice. This disclaimer makes that crystal clear and explains how to handle medical questions, emergencies, and adverse events.

1. We do not provide medical advice
No medical advice
Nothing on this website, in any product description, FAQ entry, blog post, customer-service email, or other communication from Domestic Med Supply constitutes medical advice. We are a supplier; we are not your doctor.
Information on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed medical provider who knows your medical history, current medications, allergies, and circumstances. Do not use anything you read here as a basis for diagnosing, treating, or making any decision about a medical condition.
2. Products are not FDA-approved drugs
Domestic Med Supply sells medical devices (insulin syringes, IM syringes, hypodermic needles, alcohol prep pads) and laboratory reagents (bacteriostatic water for research use). The medical devices are FDA-cleared for their intended use as devices. They are not FDA-approved drugs and we do not sell any FDA-approved or otherwise scheduled medication, peptide, hormone, or other substance.
Statements made on the Site about our products have not been evaluated by the FDA. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
3. Bacteriostatic water — research use only
Bacteriostatic water sold by Domestic Med Supply is for research and laboratory use only unless a valid prescription is on file. It is not sold as, and should not be used as, a diluent for human or veterinary injectable medications without a licensed practitioner’s direction.
Bacteriostatic water is classified by the U.S. FDA as a prescription product when intended as a diluent for injectable medications. By purchasing bacteriostatic water from DMS, you affirm that you are purchasing it for legitimate research, laboratory, or veterinary-research use; any other use is at your sole legal and medical risk.
Use beyond a verified expiration date or beyond 28 days after first puncture (the manufacturer’s recommended in-use period) is unsafe under any circumstance and should be discarded.
4. Syringes & needles — single-use only
Every syringe and needle we sell is a sterile, single-use device. Reuse of a syringe or needle dramatically increases the risk of infection, abscess, transmission of bloodborne pathogens (HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C), and tissue damage from a dulled or burred tip. Never reuse a syringe or needle on yourself or anyone else.
Used syringes and needles must be disposed of in an FDA-cleared sharps container and processed per your local hazardous-waste guidelines. Most U.S. counties offer free or low-cost sharps disposal at pharmacies, hospitals, and household-hazardous-waste collection sites; check safeneedledisposal.org for a directory.
5. Consult a licensed provider
Always consult a licensed medical provider before beginning, modifying, or discontinuing any medical treatment. This is especially important if you:
- Have a chronic medical condition (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney or liver disease, immune disorder);
- Are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or breastfeeding;
- Are under 18 (we do not sell to anyone under 18);
- Take any prescription medication or use any controlled substance;
- Have known allergies to medications, preservatives, latex, or adhesives.
6. Medical emergencies
For non-emergency medical questions, contact your physician or, in the U.S., call the free national Poison Control hotline at 1-800-222-1222 (24/7). For mental-health crises, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
7. Reporting adverse events
If you experience an adverse event you believe is related to a product purchased from Domestic Med Supply (for example, a defective syringe that broke during use, an infection at an injection site, or a contaminated vial), please:
- Seek immediate medical care if your health may be at risk;
- Email info@domesticmedsupply.com with your order number, lot number (printed on the device packaging), a description of what happened, and any photographs;
- If the event is serious (hospitalization, life-threatening, permanent injury), file a report with the U.S. FDA’s MedWatch program at fda.gov/safety/medwatch or by calling 1-800-332-1088.
We take every adverse-event report seriously, investigate every one in cooperation with our manufacturing partners, and report qualifying events to the FDA per the Medical Device Reporting (MDR) regulations at 21 CFR Part 803.
8. No therapeutic warranty
Domestic Med Supply makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding the therapeutic outcome of using any product we sell. The clinical effectiveness of any treatment depends on the underlying medication, dosing, technique, individual patient factors, and the supervision of a qualified medical professional — none of which is within our control or expertise.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites for informational purposes (e.g., FDA, Poison Control, sharps-disposal directories). These are provided as a courtesy. We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.
